Emergency Splinting - A splint is a medical device for the immobilization of limbs or of the spine. It can be used by the Emergency Medical Services or by volunteer (first responders), to immobilize a fractured limb before the transportation; it is then a temporary immobilization.

Finger Extension Contractures - A contracture is a loss of motion in the finger, into extension (straightening away from the palm) if the joint cannot be made to move passively (using outside force) through its full range of motion.
